Steve Walker (1962-2012) is a Canadian artist who was mainly inspired by love, joy, pain, loneliness and attraction which are human feelings. But as a gay artist he focused his work on the gay side of life.

He was born in Ottawa (Ontario, Canada) in 1962, he moved to Toronto when he was 19 to study theatre. But he finally decided to be a painter. He had galleries in the Unites Staes, in Canada and a studio in Costa Rica. He died at his home in Costa Rica on January 4, 2012 from a heart attack.
